Tatsumi Group has published a mook (magazine-book) that compiles information about the Mobile Suits from the Gundam SEED sub-series. The book's full title is Gundam Mobile Suit Coursebook - C.E.70-75 Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series Arc. As implied by the covered years, it also includes units from the 2024 movie Gundam SEED Freedom.

The 160-page book covers not only Mobile Suits but also the pilot characters and other vehicles. But as the title implies, only the Mobile Suit pages will appear in color, with the other sections available in grayscale.

This book also includes content from most of the Cosmic Era side stories and MSV (Mobile Suit Variation) entries, such as C.E.73 Stargazer and the Astray sub-series up to VS Astray and Princess of the Sky. But while it obviously does not include the Gundam SEED Freedom Zero movie and the newly ongoing Gundam SEED Freedom Astray manga, the recently concluded Gundam SEED Eclipse is also notably missing from the lineup.

The book has a price tag of ¥1,980 (~$13.85), and it is available for purchase via Rakuten Books and Amazon Japan. The latter has also been confirmed to international shipments for this book.

This SEED sub-series book is actually the fourth one in Tatsumi's Gundam Mobile Suit compilation books, but it is the first one to feature an alternate universe outside of Universal Century. The group first published a book that focused on the U.C.0079-0080 One Year War era in August 2021. It then followed up with another book in November 2022 that covered U.C.0083-0087 era units from Stardust Memory, Zeta Gundam, and Gundam ZZ. The third book, published in September 2023, featured units in the U.C.0093-0097 period from Char's Counterattack, Gundam Unicorn, Twilight Axis, and Gundam Narrative.

Sunrise has opened the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series GP2024 poll where fans can vote for their favorite character and Mobile Suit or Armor. The poll features 127 characters and 102 mechs from one of the popular Gundam sub-series. It also includes characters and Mobile Suits that debuted in Gundam SEED Freedom. The latter movie launched in Japanese theaters in late January 2024 and grossed over a billion yen within the first three days.

Despite the numbers mentioned, this poll only features content from the three mainline anime entries: the inaugural 2002 show, the 2004 sequel Gundam SEED Destiny, and the new Gundam SEED Freedom movie. The Cosmic Era universe also has numerous side-story entries, such as the Astray series, the Gundam SEED Eclipse manga, and the 2006 net animation Gundam SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer. None of the content from the latter titles appears in this poll.

There are two methods people can use to participate in the poll. They can a vote worth 10 points directly on the webpage once per day for each category. Those who have an X can also post tweets that will add a point each.

After the poll has closed, Sunrise will produce an illustration featuring the top-ranked character and Mobile Suit/Armor. It will also hand out ten cards with the illustration to ten lucky X owners who voted on the platform, are residing in Japan, and can respond to a future Direct Message from the official .

The Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series GP2024 poll will remain open until February 25, 2024. Sunrise will announce the poll results in March 2024.

Bandai Spirits announced that it will have an Ichiban Kuji lottery for original Gundam Seed and Cup no Fuchiko items. Cup no Fuchiko goods are figures that you can place on the rim of your cup, making it look like they’re posing or in the middle of doing something. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

There aren’t any pictures of the Ichiban Kuji items just yet. However, there is a piece of promotional art that Bandai Spirits shared. It shows Fuchiko wearing a spacesuit while hanging upside down from what seems to be the Strike’s head. As for the prizes, you’ll be able to get:

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Freedom will air in theaters in Japan on January 26, 2024. This movie will feature a new story that takes place after the events of Seed Destiny.

Bandai collectibles brand Tamashii Nations is celebrating the Tamashii Nation 2022 event. It announced that several Gundam anime productions will be streaming for free for a limited time. The selection includes the Universal Century film Gundam 0083: The Afterglow of Zeon, all three episodes of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, and all three episodes of Gundam SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer. They are available to watch on the GundamInfo YouTube channel. They'll stay that way for about two more weeks, until November 21, 2022.

Gundam 0083: The Afterglow of Zeon is a compilation film of the 13-episode OVA series Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. First released in 1991, Stardust Memory takes place four years after the end of the One Year War in the original Gundam timeline, the Universal Century. In it, the remnants of the defeated Zeonic forces identify a secret project in the works at mobile suit company Anaheim Electronics. It is a Gundam designed to deliver nuclear warheads. Led by a former ace, Zeon carries out Operation Stardust, stealing the Gundam. The Earth Federation carrier Albion and Kou Uraki, a test pilot drawn into the fighting, must stop Zeon's plans before they can visit catastrophe upon the Earth.

Endless Waltz is a three-episode follow-up to Gundam Wing. Earth and the colonies have stopped fighting, uniting in the Earth Sphere Unified Nation. But though the war is over, the fighting isn't. A rebellion on a newly completed colony rises up, led by the daughter of Treize Khushrenada. The rebellion captures Relena, now a government minister. The Gundam pilots, who sent their mobile suits on course to the sun, must retrieve their weapons and go to battle one last time.

Endless Waltz is also notable for featuring significant redesigns to the main Gundam units. Though technically the same suits seen in the series, they all look quite different thanks to designer Hajime Katoki. For example, the Wing Gundam Zero features giant, detailed angelic wings, and so on.

Gundam SEED Stargazer takes place during the events of Gundam SEED Destiny, following the "Break the World" Incident wherein rogue Coordinators drop pieces of the Junius Seven colony on Earth's surface, causing great damage. In the chaos, a unit of Phantom Pain, an Earth Alliance special forces outfit, get involved with the of Project Stargazer, which is constructing a mobile suit intended for space exploration instead of war.

The Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, Gundam 0083, and Gundam SEED Stargazer anime are streaming until November 21, 2022. Previous limited GundamInfo streams include Char's Counterattack and Gundam Unicorn.

Bandai Spirits will release a figure of Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed to go with the Gundam Seed renaissance. The Lacus Clyne figure will come with Pink-chan, which is the small Haro that Lacus received from Athrun. The figure will come out in August 2021 and will cost 3520 JPY, which is approximately $32.05.

The figure will come with three faces. She has a normal expression, a smile, and a slightly troubled frown. Bandai used water slide decals for the smile and the frown, and Lacus’s normal expression uses pad printing. Since she is considered a plastic model, she requires assembly before you can display her. The Lacus Clyne figure is poseable and comes with hand parts that allow her to hold onto her Haro. In addition, there is a mini-skirt version of Lacus that is an original to the figure. It is not based on any outfit that she wears in the show.

Leaks revealed earlier this month revealed a new project underway for Gundam Seed. The recently unveiled Gundam Seed Ignited project consists of a new movie, a spin-off anime series called Gundam Seed Eclipse, and a life-sized Freedom Gundam statue that will appear in Shanghai.

The Lacus Clyne figure will appear in August 2021 and will cost 3520 JPY/$32.05.

An announcement concerning a new Gundam Seed project will appear sometime in late July. However, information regarding the project is extremely scare. The only currently known information is that a future issue of the Monthly Gundam Ace magazine will reveal more details regarding the project. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]

As previously mentioned, details will remain scarce until more information comes with the release of the mentioned magazine issue. Additionally, there is no indication of what this new Gundam Seed project will be. The leak does mention, however, that it does not seem like it will be a new manga.

In related news, plenty of Gundam content has released or been teased within the past few months. In April 2021, the staff for the live action Gundam film was announced. The Netflix adaptation of the series will feature Jordan Vogt-Roberts. Vogt-Roberts will direct and produce the film. Information regarding the movie still remains limited. There is no indication on what arc or series will be adapted into the live action film.

Additionally, in May 2021, the soundtrack for Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack was released to Spotify and iTunes. Consumers can stream the soundtrack through either platform. The soundtrack features a total of fifteen songs from Char’s Counterattack.
