In a Famitsu article with Keita Iizuka, the producer of the Code Vein II, he discusses character customization in the sequel, and how the team expanded on the feature since the first game. Code Vein II will let you create and customize your own vampire hunter protagonist. The design will be anime-esque, but there will be more facial parts to choose from and more settings to fiddle with compared to before. Not only will you be able to balance how the eyes and nose settle on the face, but you’ll be able to make hairstyles straight or wavy based on preference. You’ll also be able to add more accessories to your vampire hunter.

Bandai Namco first unveiled Code Vein II during the Summer Game Fest 2025 stream in early June 2025. You will play as a vampire hunter who dies while on a mission. However, a vampire girl resuscitates you by offering her a piece of your heart. The story has elements of time travel, and he must travel between the past and the present to save the world from certain destruction. More details on the story, gameplay, and characters will appear closer to the release window.

During Summer Game Fest 2025, Bandai Namco revealed Code Vein 2. The title will debut in 2026. We’ll see it on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. It will also be available to wishlist as of June 6, 2025.

Here is the very first trailer. It shows a protagonist character dealing with opponents in a medieval mansion. After taking out an opponent, we see him happen upon a being that seems to resemble a girl who once lived there. After that, we see him go through a portal and encounter another entity. It appears this time around, manipulation of time will have some effect on the story and gameplay. The video primaril focuses on CG segments that set the stage for the adventure, rather than really showing off gameplay for it yet.

The original Code Vein debuted in 2019. It showed up on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In one of Bandai Namco's final updates on it, it was confirmed to have ed over two million in sales. The series was known for being able to fight alongside NPC allies or other people.

Code Vein 2 will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2026.
